Practice journaling, focus on the feelings that are happening and the actions that can be taken to improve things. Stick to productive thinking, and writing it down can help to guide your thoughts.
Audit your emotions multiple times a day, three usually works well. Set an alarm to remember to do this, and focus on facts and actions. Examples would be “what am I feeling right now?” or “what is driving my current mood?” or maybe “what thought triggered my current mood or actions?”
Talk to someone you trust and ask them the questions listed above. Document the results. Remember, you tend to move in the direction of your strongest thoughts, try to guide those thoughts instead of letting your emotions guide them.
