Curiosity and Openness

In order to improve and become the type of person you want to be you need to be open for what is needed to make that change. That requires gaining a posture for curiosity, in order to find that solution and then you need to be open to what is needed to make the change.

Two things are true, in my experience, about a major positive change. First of all positive changes are not easy to find, or you would have already implemented them. If they are easy to find then they are difficult to implement. Either way, it almost always requires a death of some part of who you are. That means you have to be open to losing something you used to think was unavoidably part of you. The best way to do this is to find a friend that’s willing to tell you the uncomfortable truth about a blind spot you have, and you need to be open enough to hear it.

So, take on a posture of curiosity to find that something, and of openness to be able to implement it.
